You’re confusing people.
And confused people don’t buy.
How do I know?
Because I look at ads, websites, social posts all day every day.
Hardly any of them are clear.
Hardly any say something a potential client cares about.
Hardly any say clearly this is what I can do for you.
It’s marketing 101.
But it isn’t marketing in practice 101.
There are many reasons why people don’t communicate clearly. In marketing assumed knowledge is a big part of the problem.
You know stuff your client doesn’t, but you think they do.
Much better to assume nothing or research the market properly and find out what they do and don’t know.
What words do they use?
How do they describe their problems?
What do they say they want?
Behind what they say, what do they really want?
Marketing is about clear communication with other people.
It’s always about what you can do for them.
So next time you decide to get clever with your marketing, stop yourself.
Ask this question.
Am I being clear?
Could I be clearer?
Is it possible my client won’t understand this?
Is it possible my client won’t see the value we offer?
You must train yourself to see the world through their eyes.
If you do marketing success awaits.
