You have to be the ‘only one’ with something they value.
They can only get what they want from you.
So what are you the only one for?
Every business I’ve ever spoken with offers something that their competitors don’t.
But they often forget to tell people OR they can’t find the right words to say it.
Your marketing fails if you appear to be the same as everyone else.
And in most industries, to customers, everyone looks the same.
If you don’t believe me, do this.
Pick an industry.
Look at all the ads.
Look at the websites.
Look at all the social media posts.
Look at all the offers.
Does anyone stand out as the one you would choose?
If you’re being honest the answer, in almost every case, is no.
If you don’t stand out, you rely on luck to make sales.
And that’s a weak foundation to build a business on.
